About Us

Inspire Democracy is an Elections Canada program that works with stakeholders to reduce barriers to electoral participation.

Research shows that some communities face more barriers than others when it comes to registering and voting, working at the polls or being a candidate in a federal election. While we work with many communities in different contexts, we work mostly with those facing the greatest barriers:

Inspire Democracy helps address barriers to electoral participation by providing tools for engaging with community leaders and organizations that represent these communities.
