Want to vote by mail?

Plan early, deadlines apply. Follow these steps:

Apply to vote by mail.
- Apply online at elections.ca. OR
- Call us at 1-800-463-6868 or 1-800-361-8935 (TTY) to request an application form. OR
- Apply in person at any Elections Canada office across the country.
- We must receive your application by the Tuesday before election day, 6 p.m.
Watch for your voting kit in the mail.
Mark and return your ballot by following the instructions in your voting kit.
- We must receive your completed ballot by election day.

Important

Once you apply to vote by mail, you can't change your mind and vote at advance polls or on election day.
When you vote by mail, you use the special ballot process.
